I love this time of year...Back to School!
I, Cathy, love shopping for school supplies, I love all the colors and creative designs each year. I have a teenage daughter who loves to shop for these items too, but it has been a long time since I have gotten to create fun little treats and boxes for her. This year was tons of fun, though. My son got married last Fall to wonderful young woman and along with her came two little kids...Raini and Gideon. Which made us instant grandparents! Raini goes to Kindergarten this year and I had lots of fun paper crafting with Colorbok's Cosmopolitan Craft Pad for her.
She needed a Kindergarten pennant to document the first day...she loved this idea and was next to impossible to get to hold still for photos...this is what I got!
Next up, I created two little owl boxes from a file from the Silhouette Store...the Cosmopolitan pad was so easy to create with, great patterns that work easily together and another bonus is that the Colorbok card stock cuts like butter with my Silhouette Cameo! One box for Raini full of school supplies and some treats with a little note saying "Whoooo's going to Kindergarten?" and one for Gideon with a little note saying "Whooooo gets to stay home with Mom?" He's only two, but he needed an owl also!
I also created a little box of crayons for her and a box of pencils to give to her teacher on the first day, again with files from the Silhouette store. She was so excited to have all of these little extras!
Last but not least, one cute little treat bag for my teen daughter who loves the mustache trend...a fun little bag full of treats and little cosmetic items from her favorite place on earth...Target!
I hope you are inspired to create for Back to School and try out Colorbok's great card stock for your die cutting machine!
