This year the Craft & Hobby Association had a new addition to the Convention & Trade show debuting its first consumer show, the CHA Craft Super Show on Friday, July 31 through Saturday, August. The show featured booths that spanned from smaller independent stores to the larger craft chains and offered a wide spectrum of crafting materials and mediums. Colorbok was given the opportunity to feature a project using products from our "My Wild Life" line as a Make It & Take It at the JoAnn booth on Saturday morning.
I spent the evening before the second day of the show preparing over 200 pre-made packets for the project and had extra pieces set aside just in case. The following morning, I arrived at the convention center an hour before the show opened and was surprised to find a line already started! I took my place about 6th in line and patiently waiting for our admittance. While in line I had the opportunity to chat with consumers before the show began and was excited to hear the buzz surrounding the show and the great product and give-a-ways at the various booths. I was also happy to learn that there were quite the crowds the day before so prepared myself for a busy morning at our table. I was not let down. By noon I was out of packets and all of our extras!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by our table and made a "My Wild Life" tag. It was a wonderful opportunity to get to meet and work with so many enthusiastic crafters!
